Athletics

Under the direction of the St. Simon Athletic Commission, student athletes of St. Simon Parish have the opportunity to participate in the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) sports program.  

The Athletic Commission organizes, manages and provides support for all CYO sponsored sporting events at St. Simon.  It reinforces policies established at CYO as well as within those of St. Simon.

 

Student athletes who are members of St. Simon Parish can go to edline http://www.edline.net/pages/St_Simon_the_Apostle, click on Athletic Registration and then the appropriate registration form.  The registration form will prompt you for specific information that we will need for our records and your own.  Once all of your information is provided, you will have the opportunity to pay either by credit card via PayPal, or turn in a check to the school office. 

Please note that the online registration process comes with firm deadlines.  Therefore, you must be signed up prior to the deadline date.  Once the date has passed, there is nothing we can do.  This system will be your source for the latest sports updates, team notices, notes from coaches, cancelations, etc.  This online system will provide fast updates and be a source of correct, first hand information. 

Sports Physicals:  Each student athlete is required to have a physical dated after May 1, 2011 to be eligible to participate in 2011-2012 athletics at Saint Simon.  The physical will be good for the entire school year.  To avoid last minute appointments and loss of playing time, please schedule your appointment now! 

 

Girls Lacrosse Call-Out: February 8th

There will be a call out meeting for girls in grades 5-8 and parents interested in joining the girls lacrosse team (first year players only) on Wednesday, February 8 at 7:00 PM.  The meeting will be held in Feltman Hall.  The door code will be 7142#.  Please contact Courtney Veigel 345-1794 or courtneyveigel@gmail.com with any questions. 

 

Saint Simon Spring Sports Registration: Registration for spring sports is now being accepted.  Please complete tan on-line registration form. A link to the registration forms can be found on Edline under Athletics or at this link: http://www.saintsimonsports.org . The deadline for registration is Monday, February 20, 2012.  After February 20, 2012 registration will be closed.
