Children's Liturgy of the Word - C.L.W.
Starting in September through May, during the "Liturgy of the Word," (i.e. scripture readings and homily) ss children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade are dismissed from the 9:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Sunday Mass tod meet with catechists in the Daily Chapel.
The children participate in structured scripture learning that is presented to them on their level. The catechists share God's word, go through the petitions and recite the Creed. The children and catechists return to Mass at the beginning of the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Children's Liturgy of the Word is not intended to take the place of Sunday morning Religious Education classes. We are in need of volunteers to facilitate this ministry.
