Under the direction of the School Commission, student athletes of St. Simon Parish have the opportunity to participate in the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) sports program.
This group organizes, manages and provides support for all CYO sponsored sporting events at St. Simon. It reinforces policies established at CYO as well as within those of St. Simon.
Student athletes who are members of St. Simon Parish can go to the links below to register for the appropriate sports team. The registration form will prompt you for specific information that we will need for our records and your own. Once all of your information is provided, you will have the opportunity to pay either by credit card via PayPal, or turn in a check to the school office.
Please note that the online registration process comes with firm deadlines. Therefore, you must be signed up prior to the deadline date. Once the date has passed, there is nothing we can do. This system will be your source for the latest sports updates, team notices, notes from coaches, cancelations, etc. This online system will provide fast updates and be a source of correct, first hand information.
Sports Physicals: Each student athlete is required to have a physical dated after May 1, 2016 to be eligible to participate in 2016-2017 athletics at Saint Simon.

TRACK: Fees include the t-shirt uniform and is open for boys and girls in 3rd to 8th grade. Only 4th-8th grade will be allowed to compete in the season-ending CYO Championships.
LACROSSE: For Boys and Girls i grades 3 - 8. Practices can begin as early as March 1st based on the coach’s discretion. Games will begin April. Please note below the change in team structure. Lacrosse is governed by the Indiana Youth Lacrosse Association (IYLA). The IYLA is going to a strictly age-based structure instead of the grade based. That means some of our players will play for a different team this year than their grade level. The grouping is based on your age as of August 1, 2016. Indiana does not have enough players to do single year base so it is based on “even number” years. The goal is to have only a 2 year age group in all groupings. US Lacrosse adopted this as a direct response to player safety concerns.
Here is the breakdown:
*U10: Under age 10 on August 1, 2016
*This is mostly 3rd and 4th grade players
*U12: Under age 12 on August 1, 2016
*This is mostly 5th and 6th grade players
*U14: Under age 14 on August 1, 2016
*This is mostly 7th and 8th grade players
*Waivers will be granted to older players not in high school
Only waivers will be allowed for older 8th graders. Other athletes will be required to play for their age group team.
