Faith formation is a lifelong process, and through religious education classes, we provide formal catechesis for children 3 years old through 5th grade. Guidelines for this formation are developed under the guidance of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Through this formation the parish can work in partnership with parents to assist with the development of your children's Catholic faith, prayer life, sacraments and tradition.
We offer religious education classes for children, ages 3 through 5th grade, of our parish. Classes begin in September and end in May. The archdiocese requires our parish to provide at least 31 hours of formal religious education to our students. Classes are held on Sunday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and take place in the school wing/classrooms. Registration for your child is required. Please complete the registration form on-line and submit it to the Office of Faith Formation.
Many volunteers are needed for this ministry. If you are interested in being a catechist, please complete the Volunteer form and submit it to the Office of Faith Formation or contact, Jim Wood, Administrator of Religious Education at 826.6000 ext. 180.
To volunteer, a background check must be on file in the Business Office and volunteers must attend a one-time Virtus Training session. Click on the highlighted Virtus Training for more information.
