The purpose of the PFO is to enhance and enrich our children’s
education at Saint Simon while teaching our children the importance
of giving back to our community. The money raised through our fund
raising efforts is used to purchase items that are needed to round
out the superior curriculum already offered at Saint Simon School.
All faculty of Saint Simon School and all parents and guardians
of children enrolled at Saint Simon are members of this organization.
This year, there will be two primary open meetings, one in the fall and the other in the early part of 2009. Business meetings are typically held on a Tuesday of each month. The 2008-2009 PFO
Meeting schedule is below. Parents and other interested adults
are encouraged to attend and share their time and talents to support
the many service-oriented projects for the school. Some PFO sponsored
fundraisers include Scrip, a book fair, flower sale, and the Taste of
Saint
Simon. These, and other planned events during the year, provide for
parent/child involvement and recreational enjoyment. Many volunteers
are needed to keep these programs alive.
