Faith Formation

Mission Statement:  The Mission of the Faith Formation program at St. Simon the Apostle Church is to foster lifetime growth in the Catholic faith through sacraments, religious education and spiritual development. 

Faith formation is a lifelong process. The Religious Education classes provide formal catechesis for children, ages 3 years through 5th grade. Guidelines for the curriculum were developed by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. The parish works in partnership with parents in developing their children's Catholic faith, prayer life and traditions.

Faith Formation Commission:  The Faith Formation Commission is a consultative body that supports the Pastor, Coordinator of Religious Education, and the Parish Council.  The commission establishes policies and goals relative to life-long faith formation for the parish.  These positions are elected by the parish and terms for each commission member is 3 years.
